Energizing Soaps, Candles and Incense
Stress, arguments, heartache, and other hardships can drain a home of positive energy, creating a harmful cycle that affects its occupants. This discomfort weakens their ability to overcome challenges, leading to deeper dissatisfaction and increasingly serious problems.
Homes filled with negative energy weigh heavily on those who live in them, but the residents alone can change their circumstances if they commit fully and recognize that the opportunity to improve their lives always begins at home. Transformation starts with individual action to break the cycle of misfortune. The environment itself should support this healing; in this article, we aim to cultivate joyful atmospheres using simple yet highly energetic items: homemade soaps, candles, and incense. These objects, which remain in the home for a time and also come into contact with the body, have remarkable power to engage the senses, mind, and spirit.
DIY Recipes
Making your own soaps, candles, or incense is neither tiring nor dull—what’s more, the process itself helps you begin to channel positive energy. Materials are readily available at craft and DIY stores. Here are some straightforward recipes to create these items at home.
Soap Preparation
Ingredients:Glycerin soap base and coconut soap, as needed.
Colorants and aromatic essential oils, according to preference.
Plastic or metal soap molds.
Optional: pieces of other soaps, flowers, leaves, beads, and similar items. It’s important that these additions are smooth and not sharp, as they will appear on the soap's surface as it is used.
Preparation Steps:
Cut the glycerin and coconut soap into small pieces and melt them in a glass container using a double boiler. Once melted, add your chosen colors and fragrances. It’s best not to mix multiple scents to avoid an overpowering, muddled fragrance. Stir gently to avoid foaming until the mixture is smooth and uniform. Pour the warm liquid into molds and, if desired, add the optional decorative elements, bearing in mind they will remain on the surface.
Candle Making
This recipe is designed to make approximately six candles, each about 25 centimeters tall.Ingredients:
A tall metal pot.
A separate metal container suitable for high temperatures.
3 kilograms of paraffin wax.
Six wicks, each about 30 centimeters long.
60 grams of dye in your preferred color.
Preparation:
Chop the paraffin wax into small pieces and place them in the metal container. Melt the wax in a double boiler. Once fully melted, lower the heat and add the dye, stirring until the color is evenly distributed. Next, dip a wick into the wax, holding one end, for about three seconds, then remove it and allow it to dry completely. Repeat dipping and drying until the wick reaches your desired thickness. Use a knife to trim the base of the candle carefully, avoiding fingerprints, and also cut any excess wick.
How to Make Incense Sticks
Ingredients:
55 grams of wood flour.6 grams of potassium nitrate.
Half a liter of water.
2 teaspoons of colorless mineral oil.
1 teaspoon of burnout regulator.
Half a tablespoon of adhesive powder.
2 tablespoons of binder powder.
Coloring agents, alcohol, and essential oils of your choice.
Preparation:
In a metal container, dissolve the potassium nitrate in 100 cc of water and add the binder powder. Heat the mixture and add the remaining water along with the burnout regulator powder. Once the mixture boils, keep stirring for one more minute. Then pour in the mineral oil and stir until smooth. Place the mixture in a tall, narrow container and dip the incense rods for five seconds, then remove them. Prepare the coloring and fragrance by diluting them in alcohol (25 cc of colorant, 50 cc of alcohol, and 15 cc of essence). Pour this solution into a tubular container and soak the dried incense sticks for another five seconds.Selecting Candle Colors
